According to Autoevolution, an Android Auto glitch spotted late last year causes the Google Assistant voice commands for navigation not to work. Google reportedly has addressed the issue, but some users still complain on forums that the glitch remains. An Android Auto Help forum details that when some people try to use the voice navigation, the system instead says, “Something went wrong, please try again.” Users were still having issues with the voice command navigation process as recently as earlier this month. Autoevolution reports that a new Android Auto update is coming up, which may finally fix the voice command glitch once and for all. However, if you’re experiencing these issues with Android Auto, it’s still recommended that you update Google Assistant and Android Auto to their latest versions. Lifewire reached out to Google for comment on the glitch, as well as to find out when the next Android Auto update will be released to users. The company has yet to respond. Android Auto is a popular app that lets you control some of a vehicle’s infotainment system features through your Android smartphone. The system’s display is designed to be easy to read at a glance, and voice controls are heavily integrated using Google Assistant so that drivers can keep their eyes on the road. After being introduced in 2015, Android Auto is now compatible with vehicles from most of today’s automakers.
