Exclusive TED Talks will take place on the Clubhouse app, starting with a weekly room on Mondays called “Thank Your Ass Off,” Clubhouse’s official Twitter account tweeted the news on Sunday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Thank Your Ass Off” features Clubhouse creator Mir Harris in conversation with author and TED speaker A. J. Jacobs every Monday at 11 a.m. ET. The show is described as “a weekly show to boost your spirits and change your perspective” and “conquer the negative bias and thank the unsung heroes of our lives!” The Hollywood Reporter added that more shows and TED speakers will be added to the Clubhouse lineup at a later date. “For nearly 40 years TED has brought the world’s preeminent ideas, imaginations, and voices to audiences,” Kelly Stoetzel, head of thought leadership programming at Clubhouse, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “This partnership will bring those minds into a dialogue with the millions of creators who make up the Clubhouse community.” This is the most recent Clubhouse update as the app continues to expand and grow its numbers. In May, the Clubhouse app finally became available to Android users after only being available on the Apple Store. You still need an invite in order to access Clubhouse, but the company said in a blog post that it would begin to open its app to more users this summer, starting first with those on the iOS waitlist. A lot of buzz has surrounded the audio-based social network since it debuted last year, but it only sits at No. 52 in the most popular social networking apps on the Apple Store.
