How Do I Change the Streaming Quality on My Fire Stick?
How Can I Improve the Picture Quality on My Fire Stick?
If, after setting your Video Quality to Best, you still find the quality of the videos you’re getting through your Fire Stick isn’t great, there are a couple of additional steps you can try:
Remove any unused apps from your Fire Stick. Having a bunch of unused apps on your Fire Stick takes up space and can slow down the processing power of the Fire Stick. Remove any apps you aren’t using to regain those resources. Make sure your Fire Stick is fully updated. While it should update automatically, it doesn’t hurt to check if your Fire Stick needs to be updated because an out-of-date device won’t work efficiently. Restart your Fire Stick. Restarting seems to fix lots of minor issues. Either unplug your Fire Stick and wait a few seconds, plug it back in, or go to Settings > My Fire TV > Restart > Restart to turn your Fire Stick off and then back on automatically. Reset your Fire Stick. Resetting your Fire Stick is especially useful if the streaming quality isn’t the only issue you’ve had from your Fire Stick. There may be a glitch or a corrupted bit of data interfering with your Fire Stick, so an update could get things working better. Just remember when you reset your Fire Stick, you’ll need to download and log back into all of the apps you had installed.

It’s best to leave this setting at Auto because that will allow the Fire Stick to automatically set the display resolution based on your TV’s capabilities. Still, you can choose one of the other settings if you prefer.
