How Do I Connect My Gosund to a New Wi-Fi?

Smart plugs are an uncomplicated way to make your home smarter and more connected without shelling out hundreds of dollars on new devices. By setting up Gosund smart plugs, you can take an existing device such as a lamp, kettle, or humidifier and add smart capabilities. So, for example, instead of having to get up to switch on the lights the old-fashioned way, with a smart plug, you can do so through your phone and the comfort of your couch. Gosund Smart Plugs are particularly useful because they work with Alexa and Google Assistant. Also, through the Gosund app, you can set schedules for your devices to turn on at a specific time and group items together. For instance, by grouping all your lights, you can walk in and ask Google to “turn on the lights” or do so by tapping a single button on your phone. Here’s how to set it up and get it connected to your home Wi-Fi network.

Why Is Gosund Not Connecting?

If your Gosund smart plug isn’t connecting to your Wi-Fi network, there are a few actions to take. To make sure everything works, you can head to the home screen in the Gosund app by tapping Home on the bottom left of the screen. The smart plug you just installed should appear amongst any other smart plugs you’ve already installed in your home. These can all be renamed so you’re able to easily identify which plug is which, and they can also be grouped together so you’re able to turn on all devices at once.
