How to Use Emoticons in Facebook Comments (Desktop)
To add emoticons to a Facebook comment using the desktop site:
Use Facebook Stickers in a Comment (Desktop)
Facebook stickers are a little different from emoticons because they send instantly, so you can’t add text along with a sticker. This is true on both the desktop Facebook site and the mobile app. To send a sticker as a Facebook comment using Facebook on the desktop, select the Sticker icon, which is on the far right side of the comments box. Select a sticker category, and then select the sticker you want to send. The sticker sends immediately.
Use Emoticons and Stickers in Comments (Mobile App)
To add an emoticon to a comment while using the Facebook mobile app, use your phone’s keyboard emoticons. To send a sticker in your comments on the mobile app, select Comment, followed by the Smiley Face icon. Select a sticker category, and then choose your sticker. Tap a sticker to instantly send it as a Facebook comment.
Adding Additional Stickers With the Sticker Store
If you can’t find a sticker that expresses exactly what you want to say, head to the Sticker Store. To access the sticker store, select the Plus Sign from the sticker pop-up window. (In the mobile app, the Plus Sign is in the lower-right corner. On the desktop site, it’s in the upper-right.) The Sticker Store offers hundreds of categories of stickers on topics as diverse as Snoopy’s Moods, Manchester United, Ghostbusters, Candy Crush, Cutie Pets, and Hair Bandits. Select Preview (for desktop users) or tap the category name (for mobile users) to see the stickers in each package. When you find a package you like, select Free (on the desktop site) or Download (on the mobile app). This places the sticker package icon in the sticker menu for easy access when you’re adding Facebook stickers to comments.
