Starting at just $749, the under 1 kilogram (less than 2.2 pounds) HP Pavilion Aero 13 looks to be the company’s lightest consumer laptop yet, and features the first full magnesium-aluminum chassis for the line. It comes readily compatible with Windows 11 and will be available on the official website starting in July, with a wider release to select US retailers planned for this fall. The Pavilion Aero 13 is the first Pavilion laptop with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, which provides a 13-inch display without affecting the hardware’s dimensions. This screen also uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing a 10% increase in vertical viewing space compared to a standard 16:9 display. It has a resolution of 2.5k. This is all bolstered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U mobile processor, which improves responsiveness while working, browsing, or watching movies. “The HP Pavilion Aero 13 is an AMD-exclusive, powered by our highly-efficient AMD ‘Zen 3’ core architecture to deliver impressive performance and battery life,” said Saeid Moshkelani, senior vice president and general manager of the AMD’s Client business unit, in HP’s press release. “Furthering our commitment to delivering premium, no-compromise solutions, we have collaborated with HP to enable their lightest laptop yet for productivity and entertainment at home or on-the-go.” The HP Pavilion Aero 13 will be available in Pale Rose Gold, Warm Gold, Ceramic White, and Natural Silver.
