How it works: Starting today, you can launch Messenger and share your screen in one-on-one calls, group calls with up to eight people, or in Messenger Rooms with up to 16 people. To initiate screen sharing, swipe the video call controls panel up, then tap Share Your Screen > Start Sharing. If you don’t see the option, yet, make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of the Messenger app. Sharing limits: You’re unable to control who can share their screen during a Rooms video call, but Facebook says they’ll be implementing that ability soon. There are also plans to expand the Rooms capacity to 50 people, presumably for those who need to teach, present a project, or throw a cool digital party. “We know people are trying to stay connected more than ever and screen sharing is the latest feature we’re rolling out to bring people closer together,” said Facebook in its blog post Bottom line: If you’re properly quarantining yourself and practicing social distancing, you’re likely missing friends and family more than ever. Hopefully, this new screen sharing feature on mobile provides yet another way to see loved ones’ faces again. Via: Android Police
