The latest monthly patch for Windows 10 arrived on Thursday, and users already are reporting problems with the cumulative update. According to TechRadar, users have reported issues with the icons on their taskbar and tray vanishing or becoming completely corrupted and no longer working. Some users also have reported issues with their printer not working correctly, a problem that a previous Windows update ran into a few months ago. The update, titled KB5003637, represents all of June’s security fixes, as well as some additional changes to how Windows manages and stores files. The download is available to users running the May 2021, October 2020, and May 2020 versions of Windows 10.  Unfortunately, it appears the problems cropping up now have been around for a while, as Windows Latest reported similar problems in KB5003214 back at the end of May. That particular update was the preview version of this patch, which means the issue has existed for at least a few weeks without a fix. TechRadar also notes that some users have experienced issues with the search bar on their taskbar vanishing, as well as other glitches in the Action Center notifications. At this time, Microsoft has not acknowledged any of the issues in the known problems it lists for the June update. If you do find yourself struggling with this particular issue, there are a few potential fixes. Users can uninstall the update. Others suggest turning off the newly released News widget on the taskbar, which includes weather and other details about your local area. Microsoft has not revealed details of any official fixes at this time.
