Set Up Mute With Gestures on Your Galaxy Smartphone
Mute With Gestures may not be activated by default. The feature only works after your smartphone starts to make noises from an incoming call or notification. Follow these steps to set up Mute With Gestures: Go back to the Advanced Features screen by tapping the left arrow icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, or return to the Home screen. You can also tap Mute With Gestures to open a short demonstration of the feature.
Test Mute With Gestures
There are two easy ways to test Mute With Gestures to determine if it works as it should. You can set up an alarm to go off a minute after you set it on your smartphone or tablet. When you hear the alarm sound, place your hand on your screen to turn off the sound. You can also call your phone using another phone (or ask someone to call you) and then place the smartphone face down on a table or desk after the smartphone starts ringing.
Turn Off Mute With Gestures
If you decide you don’t want to use Mute With Gestures, turning the feature off is easy. On your smartphone, follow the steps above to access the Mute With Gestures screen. Change the status to Off by moving the toggle switch from right to left.
